Daily Announcements Tues, May 8 WEEK 36 DAY 142

Marking period 3 started yesterday. All MP 2 honor roll students will be invited to go miniature golfing on Monday, May 21. Honor roll will be announced at lunch this Friday. Report cards will be distributed during period 7 this Friday. There are 24 days remaining in the school year and in this semester.

 

Announcement #1: Lunch and Learn today is English and social studies.

Announcement #2: The SGO meets in Room 721 with Ms. Rodríguez and Yoga meets with Ms. Akingba and Ms. Carr in the dance room-1148.

Announcement #3: Attention all juniors: This Friday Ms. Polo will be taking juniors to the college fair at City Hall at 11 am. Please check your emails about this event. See Ms. Polo at lunch today to sign up for the event.

Announcement #4: Next Friday night is the SGO’s Spring Dance Luau! This will be the last and biggest dance of the year. So plan to come out and get your hula on! If you would like to bring guests to the dance, please see Ms. Rodríguez at lunch for a permission slip starting today. All guests must have a DOE school ID when they attend the event.

Announcement #5: This Friday night is the Spring Drama Showcase at 5 pm in the Black Box. All are welcome.

Announcement #6: Tomorrow is Homework Helper after school, at 2:45 in Room 749. There are only 8 more Homework Helpers left in the school year. Take this opportunity to make up missing work, get help, and get your stuff done. That’s tomorrow after school in Room 749.

Announcement #7: AP tests are this week and next. If you are enrolled in an AP class this year, you must take the AP test. Do not be late to your AP test—and good luck!

Announcement #8: President Carlos Veras shouts out Samara Drayton for her hard work and dedication to the SGO Luau banner–and for her general awesome-ness! Ms. Beck congratulates all of the vocal students who performed, designed and ran lights, made posters, composed, and bravely tried something new in order to produce the incredible concert this past Friday! You are all stars! And thanks to all the students who took the time to write appreciation cards for their teachers over the last week. If you want to write a last-minute card, the table will be up until the end of the day today.
