Daily Announcements: Wed, February 14 WEEK 24 DAY 97

Tomorrow is the middle of Marking Period 1. Marking period ends three weeks from tomorrow. Make sure that all your grades are above 90 percent in all your classes.

Announcement #1: Today is Study and Homework Helper after school at 2:45 in Ms. Montanino’s room-Room 749. Come with your friends to get work done, get some snacks, and pick up some cool emoji stickers from Ms. Montanino. Again, Homework Helper is today in Room 749 after school.

Announcement #2: Here are today’s lunch clubs: The Gay-Straight Alliance meets in Room 733, the Gramercy Book Club meets in the Black Box, the Portrait Club meets with Ms. Weltman in 745.

Announcement #3: The SGO Valentine’s Day Flower Grams will be distributed today during fifth period. Thanks to all the SGO students who have worked hard to sell over 200 flower grams this year!

Announcement #4: SGO will be holding the audition for our annual Talent Show tomorrow during lunch. Sign up on the sheets on Ms. Rodriguez’s door.

Announcement #5: Seniors, Ms. Polo sent you a new list of college scholarships with deadlines in March. Check your email for the scholarship list.

Announcement #6: Tomorrow is the Black History Month performance in the auditorium periods 7 and 8. All students who are performing in the Black History Month show should report to the auditorium today at the beginning of 7th period.

Announcement #7: On Saturday and Sunday, February 24 and 25, there will be a Fan Faire creative arts/comic con festival at at the High School of Arts and Design, which is located at 56th Street and Second Ave. See Mr. Patterson for more information.

Announcement #8: Rehearsal for HAIR is today at 3 on the 11th floor! Don’t be late!

Announcement #9: Ms. Sioson shouts out three members of the Green Team who qualified and accepted to the 2018 Teens Advocate for Sustainability Corps (TASC) Summit at NYU this mid-winter Recess: Aileen Downes, Carlos Veras and Leticia Ocansey. A big shout out also to Reina Durango, a former 2017 TASC participant who this year was accepted as one of the student facilitators for 2018 TASC Summit. And finally Ms. Sioson and Ms. Meyer shout out all Green Team members who always give their valuable time and efforts to promote School Recycling.

Ms. Jimenez shouts out Jevon Martin and Shaun Eagle for playing a great detective Tupolski, and Isabel Almedina and Chris Sharp for playing a great Katurian in Junior English this week.
