Daily Announcements: Wednesday, January 17 WEEK 20 DAY 83

The fall semester ends on Friday—in two days and three periods. You need to go to Lunch and Learn today in English, math, and science if you have any MP 3 grades below 80. These are the final three days to ensure that your semester grade is as high as possible.

Announcement #1: Midterms for Semester 1 continue today, with day 1 of math and social studies midterms, which continue tomorrow.

Announcement #2: The Playwright Showcase is tonight in the Black Box, starting at 5 pm. Please come support our talented playwrights and actors! The event is free and everyone is welcome.

Announcement #3: The Gay-Straight Alliance meets in Room 733, the Gramercy Book Club meets in the Black Box, and the Portrait Club meets with Ms. Weltman in 745.

Announcement #4: Today there will be a mandatory meeting for the cast of HAIR during lunch. You will be receiving your music and cast contract.

Announcement #5: Juniors who are taking the SAT should sign up for Saturday morning SAT test prep at Cleary, which starts on Saturday, February 3. Breakfast and Metrocards are provided. See Ms. Polo to sign up.

Announcement #6: Global Regents prep is this afternoon at 3:00 pm in Room 707 with Ms. Carr, and U.S. History Regents prep is this afternoon in Room 722 with Mr. O’Neill.

Announcement #7: If you’re interested in playing varsity baseball this spring, you must come to a mandatory meeting this Friday at 3:45 in Room 719 with Coach Lilla.

Announcement #8: There will be a meeting for all Theater students who are interested in performing in the Black History Month Show on Friday during lunch in the Black Box. If you would like to perform a scene, monologue, or poem in honor of Black History Month, please come! That’s this Friday at lunch in the Black Box.

Announcement #9: All Cleary mentees should attend a mandatory check-in tomorrow in room 721 immediately after school.

Announcement #10: Ms. Laratta shouts out her Italian classes for their outstanding citizenship and responsibility in completing their work yesterday while she was not present.
